Edmodo CSE:695
Edmodo is a website that allows you to turn your classroom in to an online community. Its user friendly interface allows you to display assignments for students, set up a calendar for your classroom, send messages and alerts to your students, and access other teachers online to share resources.
Students will enjoy Edmodo because it has a layout similar to Facebook and gives them constant access to the important information for your class. In addition, students who are absent can stay on top of the class and students who have questions outside of the classroom can access the teacher.
The Edmodo I have set up is a demo for this CSE 695 class. I have added the dates and times of this class to the calendar and our first assignment under the assignment section. Feel free to leave notes on the Edmodo and search around the CSE 695 page. You can even update the profile if you like, the student is named CSE 695, so it is yours for the modifying. I created a poll you are more than welcome to vote on.
